Hand In The Lion's Mouth (9425 hits)

Have you ever found yourself in a situation and wondering how in the world did I get here. It seems like one day you just woke up and found yourself right in the lions den but not only in the lion's den but in the lions mouth. You are in trouble!!! You want to scream but screaming only alerts the lions even more of your existence still having some strenth. You want to take control of the situation bur right now you can't think of a thing to do to change your situation. You are facing a moment of hand in the lion's mouth. Sometime in life if you live long enough you will find yourself in a situation where you just can't figure out your way. You thought that person was your friend, you thought the job was legit, you thought the roommate was a perfect match having the same values and morals. Yet you seem to have been sleeping while a circle of lions (adversity) closed in around you. Don't feel ashamed we have all been there that have lived for a number of years. We experience these times it gives God an opportunity to show us his Sovereignity and his covenant above our failures. I don't know about you but there are times I simply missed it. I heard the Lord say no but it just didnt make sense to me (like I know more than God) (the ditch is real yall). I fell and got up and fell again. That lion I just couldn't seem to bread away from. And no it wasn't a man. It was myself. Learning how to deny me for my own self. Its called growing up. That human nature that sometimes seem to thrive on I know. Yet knowing seem to lead to a DITCH. Wow, I look back at life and how many hard knocks I've had before I came to a place of walking in wisdom. It took time, strength and even good friends out of my life but it took me to a place of maturity. I had to learn for myself tht the lions' mouth was "my" enemy. i had tp deny somethings, I had to let some people go. No it was not easy, but being eaten alive while I live was worse than closing that door. I'm learning now the importance to look out for me. Tea and crumpets are fine at a tea party but the reality of life is this can be a very tough world. We must learn to live working with God rather than against him. I've finally come to the place I love being Abba's daughter and having the ability to cry out to him when I mess up. That for me is the way out of the lion's mouth. For some it may be an abusive relatioship, a dead end job that is draining you, a family crisis that is making you wish you could escape. We all have our issues but the way to escape them is seek him. God.
