Sometimes we can face adversity that can cause us to question our very existence. We know who we are and yet we can face experiences that cause us to act like we have forgotten our very own identity. I've found out that identity is a very unique gift. Each of us are given a blueprint our our very own individuality that makes us unique. It identifies not only the outward person but the inward man as well. Sometimes the affairs of life and the impression of others can play havoc with our individual persons. Sometimes one has to fight to hold onto everything that defines who you are. You encounter people and situations that can challenge the basic existence of who you are to the point that it seeks to move you from a position in life that is rightfully yours. I heard recently after much time with God for myself that God purposed individual identity to each person. He defined you according to his specific plan and purpose. No you should not look like the Jones' or act like the Browns because you were not fashioned to walk in the image of them. You should never feel you must loose your identity to find yourself. Your own inner self in relation to God reflects who you truly are. When we learn this as humanity we can sincerely embrace the diversities of all nations because we are meant to distinctively be different and unique. That is the handiwork of God displayed. When one walks in their own individuality they give someone else and opportunity to experience the mind of God in his omnipotent grace to reveal himself to us. By denying your true self you rob others of what God willed your life to demostrate in the earth. Your creative greatness, because he has made us so, becomes marred by an image you create in which you must exert your strength to uphold the existence of. One who walks as they were purposed to walk simply walk in grace and accomplish great feats in life. Never let go of the person you really are to fit into an image you may feel others will embrace. The reality is they most likely see the real you anyway. Dare to live the life ordained for you. It is filled with such grace to beautify the world around you in your own uniqueness. Celebrate you!
